An open court held at Rumi Park under the special instructions of the DG Military Lands and Cantonments brought residents face to face with cantonment officials to present local grievances. The event was presided over by Deputy CEO Nasser Kamal with heads of relevant branches in attendance, and drew a large turnout from Rawalpindi Cantt communities.
Citizens raised issues ranging from water supply interruptions and sanitation concerns to tax disputes, building repairs and other service gaps. On-the-spot directives were issued to address many of the complaints immediately, reflecting the administration’s intent to resolve problems without delay and to mobilize necessary resources across departments.
Deputy CEO Nasser Kamal emphasized that resolving residents’ complaints remains a primary focus for Rawalpindi Cantt and warned that strict action will be taken against any staff found negligent. He underlined that the open court mechanism is designed to give citizens direct access to officials so that timely and effective remedies can be provided.
Residents expressed appreciation for the intervention and publicly thanked the DG Military Lands and Cantonments and CEO Aamir Rasheed along with the attending officers for facilitating the forum. Follow-up measures were committed to ensure the ordered tasks are carried out and that service delivery in the cantonment continues to improve.
