On April 16, 2026 a District Coordination Committee meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Rawalpindi was chaired by senior PML-N leader and Member of National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb alongside Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry.
Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies from Rawalpindi and officials from multiple departments attended, while representatives from relevant authorities provided detailed briefings on progress. Speakers stressed that all ongoing development projects must be completed within stipulated timelines and that there should be no compromise on quality as part of the wider Rawalpindi development agenda.
Barrister Danyal Chaudhry praised the district initiatives being carried out under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and outlined steps being taken to improve education, health and sanitation services. He highlighted the establishment of new educational and health centres, construction of hospitals, upgradation of schools and the provision of school buses for special needs students as priority public welfare actions.
He further directed that public issues be resolved promptly and that basic amenities be ensured at the grassroots level. Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Barrister Danyal said all available resources will be mobilised to advance Rawalpindi development and to deliver better facilities for citizens in line with the government’s vision.
