Support Capital Hospital Nurses Now

The event at CDA Hospital marked International Nurses Day with a spirited program celebrated under the banner of Bunyān al-Marsūs and opened with a recitation of the Holy Quran. Attendees included Executive Director Capital Hospital Dr. Naeem Taj, Chief Nursing Superintendent Madam Sameena Ilyas Raja, General Secretary CDA Officers Association Chaudhry Kamran Baht, Chairman Riaz Khan, General Secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, General Secretary Pakistan Nursing Federation Shabbir Tanoli, General Secretary Worker Federation Asad Mehmood, and principals from several nursing colleges.

Speakers paid rich tribute to the dedication and service of nurses, highlighting their essential role in patient care across the Capital Hospital. The celebration conveyed high energy and community appreciation for frontline nursing staff, stressing how their work sustains hospital operations and patient outcomes.

Dr. Naeem Taj drew attention to the acute shortage of nursing staff at Capital Hospital and made a direct appeal to the Chairman of CDA for immediate action. He urged emergency recruitment and staffing measures to address the shortfall so that care standards are maintained and pressure on existing nurses is relieved.

All speakers echoed the call for swift solutions and requested high-level intervention. They asked that the Chairman of CDA and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi take an active role in facilitating rapid hiring and resource allocation to strengthen nursing capacity at the facility.

The program underscored the need to invest in nursing recruitment and support systems so that Capital Hospital nurses can continue delivering safe and effective care. Organisers and medical leaders emphasized collaboration between hospital administration and government authorities to implement urgent remedial steps.
