Data Vault, NTC sign three-year pact for sovereign AI services

KARACHI: Data Vault Pakistan has entered into a three-year agreement with the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) to provide Sovereign AI Services for the Federal Government of Pakistan, a development described as an important step towards secure and nationally controlled artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Under the contract, Data Vault Pakistan will install enterprise-grade NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including the latest H200, B200 and A100 GPU platforms. The deployment will enable NTC to offer GPU-as-a-Service, Models-as-a-Service and enterprise AI capabilities from highly secure, government-managed data centres.

The platform will provide secure compute, advanced AI infrastructure and access to leading AI models, allowing government institutions to accelerate adoption of artificial intelligence while keeping critical government data protected within Pakistan and under Pakistani jurisdiction.

The partnership positions NTC as a key government platform for sovereign AI in Pakistan, enabling federal institutions to use artificial intelligence securely while retaining control over critical data, compute and digital infrastructure.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Maj Gen (retd) Ali Farhan, HI(M), Managing Director of NTC, said computing power was the backbone of modern digital infrastructure. He said that by securing high-performance NVIDIA GPUs and hosting advanced AI models locally, NTC was taking a decisive step to protect Pakistan’s digital sovereignty.

“This self-hosted, highly secure environment minimizes exposure to public clouds while providing our designated government clients with world-class AI inference and training capabilities,” he said.

Mehwish Salman Ali, Founder and CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, said artificial intelligence would define the next era of national power, economic growth and public service. She said countries that controlled their data, compute and AI infrastructure would shape their own future.

“Through this partnership with NTC, Pakistan takes a historic step toward building a secure, sovereign, and AI-enabled future. We are proud to deliver Sovereign AI Services that will empower the Federal Government of Pakistan through trusted national infrastructure, hosted in Pakistan, governed by Pakistani law, and operated under national control,” she said.

Syed Zeeshan Ali, Chief Operating Officer of Data Vault Pakistan, said the agreement was not only about deploying technology but also about building the AI foundation Pakistan needed, creating opportunities for youth, empowering government institutions and ensuring that Pakistan was not only a consumer of artificial intelligence but also a creator of it.

Data Vault Pakistan will lead the implementation of the project, delivering enterprise-grade AI infrastructure supported by 99.9 per cent service availability, comprehensive operational support and secure AI services for government institutions through NTC.

The partnership also supports Pakistan’s national vision of accelerating artificial intelligence adoption, strengthening sovereign digital infrastructure and enabling the country to emerge as a regional leader in trusted AI.
