Arid University holds first IQC Board meeting to strengthen quality standards
RAWALPINDI: The Directorate of Quality Enhancement (DQE) of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) organised the first meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) Board under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman.
The meeting was attended by all deans, directors, chairpersons, administrative heads and representatives from Academic and Advanced Studies.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman said Arid University was being transformed into a model institution that meets international standards. He emphasised the importance of continuous quality improvement, transparent governance, performance monitoring through key performance indicators (KPIs), stakeholder feedback and the promotion of research, innovation and institutional collaboration.
The forum reviewed strategies to further strengthen quality assurance mechanisms, enhance academic and administrative performance, improve teaching and learning outcomes and ensure compliance with the quality standards of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other accreditation bodies.
Director Quality Enhancement Prof Dr Muhammad Javaid Asad briefed the participants on the meeting agenda.
The meeting concluded with the approval of actionable recommendations and a follow-up mechanism to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of quality enhancement initiatives.
