LAHORE: Federal Secretary for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Muhammad Aslam Ghori visited Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore, today to review patient care facilities and ongoing institutional development work.
During the visit, the federal secretary inspected various sections of the hospital, including the Emergency Department, the Paediatric Emergency Unit currently under expansion, the Sehat Sahulat Programme Dialysis Centre, the Intensive Care Unit and the Hospital Pharmacy.
He was briefed on the expansion of paediatric emergency services, the availability of essential medicines and the quality of healthcare services being provided to patients. The visit also covered ongoing measures aimed at improving patient care and strengthening hospital services.
Mr Ghori met patients and their attendants in different wards and sought their feedback about treatment standards and healthcare facilities. Patients expressed satisfaction with the medical care, the professional and compassionate attitude of healthcare staff and the services available at the hospital.
The federal secretary appreciated that both general and private patients were receiving equitable and quality healthcare services, which he said reflected the hospital’s commitment to fairness and excellence in patient care.
He also commended the hospital administration and healthcare teams for their efforts and stressed the need to maintain high standards, ensure timely and effective treatment and continue improving patient-centred services.
Shaikh Zayed Hospital said it remained committed to providing safe, accessible and high-quality healthcare while improving its clinical services, infrastructure and patient experience in line with the vision of the Government of Pakistan.
