JI Islamabad Holds Independence Day Activities Across Capital Areas

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad organised a series of programmes and activities for children and youth in connection with Pakistan’s Independence Day in different areas of the federal capital, including Sihala, Lehtrar Road, Ghouri Town, I-9, G-10, G-14, I-14, Jhangi Syedan and other localities.

Children and young people took part in the Independence Day events in large numbers. The activities included rallies, national songs, speeches, sports competitions, tree plantation and other national and recreational programmes.

JI Islamabad deputy amirs Malik Abdul Aziz and Dr Tahir Farooq, and Zonal Nazim Tahir Khan addressed gatherings held at different venues.

Speaking at various programmes in the G and F sectors, Dr Tahir Farooq said the blood of the martyrs of freedom would not be allowed to go in vain. He said the survival, security and progress of the country were linked with the ideology of Pakistan. He added that it was the need of the hour to inform the new generation about the struggle and sacrifices made for the creation of Pakistan.

Addressing a “Pakistan Zindabad” rally in Sihala, Malik Abdul Aziz said Jamaat-e-Islami would continue its struggle to make Pakistan, in the true sense, the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam. He said freedom was a great blessing of Allah Almighty, and its value and protection were the responsibility of everyone. He said every individual would have to play a role for the progress and stability of Pakistan.

Addressing different activities in the I sector, Tahir Khan urged the youth to come forward and contribute to making Pakistan strong, prosperous and stable. He said young people were the country’s valuable asset and the builders of its future. Through education, character and abilities, he said, the youth could take Pakistan to new stages of development.
