Rawalpindi Highway Patrol Cracks Down on Crime: Eight Notorious Fugitives Arrested, Weapons Seized

SSP Muhammad Bin Ashraf Leads Crime Sweep in Rawalpindi Region

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Highway Patrol in Rawalpindi Region has intensified its operations against criminal elements, resulting in a major breakthrough this week. Under the direct supervision of SSP Muhammad Bin Ashraf, the patrolling police successfully apprehended eight proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, along with recovering illegal weapons during routine inspections.

According to Paunjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region, Assistant Sub-Inspector Khurram Shehzad and his team carried out a routine check at the Chowk Pandori Patrolling Post. During the operation, they recovered a 9mm pistol along with eight live rounds from a suspect. The accused was immediately arrested, and a case was registered against him.

Further coordinated efforts across various patrolling posts — including Kotkay, Mithial, Dhoke Pathan, Bahria Town, Daleelpur, Dharnal, and Chak Aka — led to the arrest of eight proclaimed offenders wanted in different cases and four court absconders. All apprehended individuals have now been placed in custody.

The Rawalpindi Region Highway Patrol remains committed to ensuring public safety by actively preventing criminal activities and pursuing fugitives. Authorities reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining law and order on Punjab’s highways through continued vigilance and swift law enforcement.
