SDGs and PDP Manuals Discussed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Consultative Session

The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) organized a consultative session involving key stakeholders to review Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Participatory Development Planning (PDP) manuals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This event forms part of CPDI’s broader initiative to support the localization of SDGs by empowering Tehsil Local Governments (TLGs) with effective tools and guidelines for sustainable development planning.

During the consultation session held at Serena Hotel, experts, stakeholders, and local government representatives actively participated, providing valuable inputs, insights, and recommendations aimed at refining the PDP manuals. These detailed discussions centered upon the alignment, clarity, and practical applicability of the manuals, ensuring that they reflect local priorities and aspirations pertaining to sustainable development.

Participants emphasized the importance of comprehensive, easy-to-understand guidelines that would enable tehsil local governments to effectively design and implement Medium-Term Development Plans (MTDPs). The collaborative feedback from the stakeholders will significantly enhance the quality and relevance of the training materials, facilitating the formulation of local development plans that are closely aligned with global SDGs.

The consultative exercise conducted by CPDI underscores an inclusive approach toward development planning, aimed at fostering participatory governance, transparency, and accountability at the grassroots level in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
