**NUST Joins Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Alliance for Digital Economy Education**

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has joined a landmark initiative, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) University Alliance for Digital Economy Education, strengthening international collaboration in digital education. Dr Muhammad Zahid Latif, Rector of NUST, participated in the alliance’s signing ceremony, held at Nankai University in China.

The SCO University Alliance brings together top Chinese universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, and Renmin University, alongside prominent institutions from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. This collaborative network marks a significant step towards advancing a unified approach to digital economy education across SCO member states.

The alliance is focused on creating a high-standard educational community dedicated to the digital economy. Its key objectives include fostering open academic collaboration, promoting interdisciplinary integration, and supporting joint initiatives for talent cultivation and sustainable development. Special emphasis will be placed on crucial fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and cross-border e-commerce.

By joining this transformative platform, NUST reaffirms its commitment to preparing students for future careers and enhancing the region’s knowledge economy. The university aims to play an integral role in shaping the next generation of leaders and innovators in the digital economy.
