Padel Tennis Launch at Islamabad College for Girls

Deputy Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board, Muhammad Shahid, visited the newly opened Padel Tennis Courts at Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2, accompanied by marathon runner Danish Elahi and Principal Shazia Shamim Rizvi. The visit highlights efforts to promote padel tennis among students and introduce new sporting initiatives at the institution.
During the visit, Danish Elahi expressed his enthusiasm for supporting the growth of padel tennis, mentioning that his daughter may soon participate in training and contribute to player development. His involvement is seen as a positive step for encouraging young athletes.
The Secretary for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has announced plans to formally begin padel tennis training programs at the college. Qualified coaches will be recruited to conduct regular sessions meant to enhance students’ skills and foster interest in the sport. This initiative aims to provide structured training opportunities and promote a healthy, active lifestyle among the youth.
