NCIB Moves to Align Lab Services With ISO 9001:2015 Standards
RAWALPINDI: The National Center of Industrial Biotechnology (NCIB) at PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has organised a specialised training programme on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
The main objective of the training was to bring the centre’s laboratory operations, advanced research methods and analytical services in line with internationally recognised quality benchmarks.
According to the centre, the initiative directly strengthens the newly offered services for academia and industry by ensuring that NCIB’s testing hub functions under strict international compliance protocols. The training also focused on precision, documentation tracking, risk management and continuous improvement across laboratory workflows.
Project Director and QMR Prof Dr Abida Raza said that by adopting ISO 9001 standards, NCIB was further consolidating its role as a world-class diagnostic and research hub.
She said the move would help ensure that evidence-based scientific data provided to regulatory bodies meets global quality standards.
