P@SHA Delegation Pushes Pakistan IT Outreach Into Nordic Market

OSLO: A delegation of around 30 Pakistani technology leaders, founders and innovators, organised by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), participated in Oslo Innovation Week 2026 in Oslo, Norway, as part of efforts to create new openings for Pakistan’s IT industry in the Nordic market.

The delegation held several high-level business meetings during the visit and is now pursuing partnership leads generated through the engagements.

Led by Ms Kheezran Khan, Director of Marketing & Outreach at P@SHA, the delegation interacted with investors, startups, enterprise leaders and policymakers across Norway’s innovation ecosystem. The meetings focused on building business-to-business partnerships, joint ventures and cross-border collaboration.

During the four-day event, which included more than 100 specialised sessions, P@SHA delegates engaged with counterparts in key growth areas such as artificial intelligence, deep tech, clean tech, health tech and the blue economy.

One of the main features of the visit was a bilateral business networking session at the Storting, the Norwegian Parliament. Pakistani technology leaders met Norwegian business executives and policymakers there to discuss prospects for long-term digital trade between Pakistan and Norway.

The delegates highlighted Pakistan’s capabilities in artificial intelligence, software engineering, enterprise automation and sustainable technology, aligning them with the digital requirements of the Nordic region. They also explored venture partnerships, joint research and development, and talent models aimed at helping European scale-ups grow with Pakistani engineering teams.

Dr Shoab Ahmed Khan, Chairman of P@SHA, said Oslo Innovation Week was a deliberate step in P@SHA’s Strategy 2031, which aims to triple the IT sector’s export contribution to Pakistan to $15 billion by FY2031.

“That goal depends on reaching new markets with the right strategy for each region. The Nordic countries lead the world in digital transformation, sustainability and deep technology, and they value quality, trust and long-term partnership,” he said.

“By connecting our software houses directly with Norwegian enterprises and investors, we are moving beyond hourly outsourcing toward high-value partnerships in AI, fintech and green technology. The response our delegates received in Oslo reflects the strength of Pakistan’s engineering talent,” he added.

According to P@SHA, the mission supports two of its three strategic objectives: Export Expansion and Ecosystem & Talent. It also builds on Global Market Access, one of the national foundations of P@SHA’s strategy, which focuses on diversifying Pakistan’s IT exports beyond traditional markets, building a strong Pakistan technology brand, and tailoring outreach to each region.

P@SHA said it would follow up on the connections established in Oslo through its Brand & Global Outreach and Digital Export & Growth committees, with the objective of converting introductions into contracts, partnerships and investment.
