Strengthening Pakistan Uzbekistan Industrial Collaboration

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan visited the Pharma Park and Techno Park in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to promote industrial collaboration and deepen bilateral ties in technology and manufacturing.

At the Uzbek Techno Park Mr. Khan praised local production of modern household and electronic appliances as highly commendable and identified clear opportunities for joint manufacturing. He highlighted that collaborative production of solar water heaters could deliver affordable energy solutions for people in both countries while strengthening industrial collaboration in the energy sector.

Discussions also focused on joint production of modern gas and electricity meters to reinforce cooperation in energy technology and improve access to reliable measurement infrastructure. Officials explored practical steps to set up manufacturing links and technology transfer that could benefit Pakistani industry.

On the pharmaceutical front Mr. Khan underlined the need to streamline the process for licensing and certification so Pakistani exporters can better access Uzbek markets. He said enhancing the capacity of Pakistan’s pharma sector will boost exports and help align production with international standards.

‘By fostering collaboration in technology and industry, Pakistan and Uzbekistan can take their bilateral relations to new heights,’ Mr. Khan said, while calling for continued regulatory dialogue and practical partnerships to translate discussions into tangible projects.
