Driving Youth Empowerment Across Pakistan

Empowered young people are the engine of innovation, growth and stability in Pakistan. With more than 60% of the population under 30, Youth Empowerment is not optional but a national necessity: investments in skills, entrepreneurship and opportunity translate directly into faster economic progress and stronger social resilience.

Initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme are a practical response to this demographic reality. By expanding training, mentorship and employment pathways, the PMYP seeks to unlock the potential of millions of young Pakistanis and channel it into productive sectors that spur long-term growth.

We welcome the programme’s outreach and engagement and thank Chairman PMYP Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan and his team for a warm reception during recent discussions. Such collaboration between the Prime Minister’s Office, programme leadership and local stakeholders is vital to scale results across provinces and cities.

For Pakistan, prioritising Youth Empowerment through sustained policy support and public‑private collaboration will drive innovation-led growth and greater stability. Continued investment in the country’s youth is the most durable path to shared prosperity and a resilient future.
