Nurturing Students Through Naat Competition

Dr. Muhammad Afzal Babar, central president of the Private Schools Network, said that extracurricular and co-curricular activities are essential to refine children’s abilities and build committed citizens. Speaking as the guest of honour at the Bhara Kahoo zonal annual Husn-e-Naat event, he added that early engagement from nursery classes can awaken innate talents and instil a lifelong love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) among students.
Dr. Babar praised the newly elected Bhara Kahoo zonal team for launching their three-year term with a successful program, stressing that events like this Naat competition strengthen moral values and public speaking skills while nurturing a deep spiritual bond in young learners.
The Private Schools Network Bhara Kahoo zone held the annual Naat competition at the primary and secondary levels. At the primary level, Muhammad Sahil of Islamic Foundation School claimed first place, Maryam Rehman of Al-Falah Public School and Hania Sadiq of Descent Public School shared second place, and Ali Mehdi of Cambridge School Siri Chowk and Arfa Nasir of The British School secured third place. At the secondary level, Muhammad Mohsin of Younus Foundation School earned first place, Eyan Ali of The British School took second, and Azka Noor of Iqra Public School finished third.
Judges Hafiz Tauqeer Hussain Kazmi, Muhammad Talha and Sumaira Haroon also presented naats for the children during the program. At the close of the event, Dr. Babar, along with zonal and central officials and the judges, presented certificates of appreciation to participating students and awarded trophies to the position holders, highlighting the role of the Naat competition in promoting talent and devotion across local private schools.
