Pakistan–Czech Parliamentary Group Boosts Bilateral Cooperation

**Pakistan, Czech Republic Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Ties through Parliamentary Diplomacy**
The Convener of the Pakistan–Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group, Makhdoom Syed Sami-ul-Hassan Gillani, met with Czech Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Ladislav Steinhübel, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation and enhance collaboration across various key sectors. The meeting took place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad and underscored the vital role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting economic and people-to-people ties between the two nations.
During the meeting, both Side’s reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and examined prospects for future cooperation in areas such as agriculture, industry, trade, and investment. Convener Gillani reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing engagement with the Czech Republic, specifically highlighting how Parliamentary Friendship Groups play a crucial part in economic diplomacy and the strengthening of partnerships.
Reflecting on the Czech Parliamentary delegation’s visit to Pakistan in 2019, Gillani noted the importance of maintaining regular parliamentary exchanges. He emphasized that sustained dialogue and collaboration at the legislative level can foster long-term relationships and facilitate meaningful progress on shared goals.
Ambassador Steinhübel lauded the longstanding friendship between the two countries and recognized the significant impact of parliamentary exchanges in consolidating bilateral ties. He reaffirmed the Czech Republic’s dedication to enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Pakistan. The Ambassador also accepted an invitation from the Convener and announced plans to visit the National Assembly of Pakistan later in the year for formal engagement with the Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Both parties agreed to continue working closely through both parliamentary and diplomatic networks, aiming to advance common objectives and expand people-to-people exchanges, thereby promoting robust cooperation across multiple fields.
