Pakistan Tech Makes Strides at GITEX with P@SHA Deals

P@SHA’s delegation at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai put Pakistan’s digital economy squarely on the international map by securing a string of strategic agreements and business connections. The Pakistan Pavilion, inaugurated alongside Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, featured more than 100 tech firms and startups and highlighted national IT exports reaching $3.8 billion in FY25.

Key leaders from P@SHA including Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam, and CEC members Sheikh Abdul Qadir and Usman Akbar led high-level networking and B2B engagement across the Dubai World Trade Centre. The delegation met major investors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar and explored collaboration opportunities across GCC pavilions and the GITEX Power Summit.

A major outcome of the mission was a formal MoU with HUB47 to strengthen Pakistan’s startup ecosystem by improving entrepreneurship support, market access and global linkages; the agreement was signed by Usman Akbar and Muhammad Shahbaz Khan of HUB47 in the presence of senior P@SHA leadership and representatives from the Pakistan Software Export Board. This pact is intended to connect Pakistani entrepreneurs with international accelerators and investor networks.

P@SHA members also concluded several company-level partnerships. Member firm CODORA signed two MoUs led by Vice President of Engineering Muhammad Atif Siddiqui, aimed at facilitating cross-border product development and distribution. Another notable agreement between member Sybrid and Super Technologies emphasised digital transformation efforts and was witnessed by Sajjad Mustafa Syed and Sheikh Abdul Qadir.

On the event’s international front, Muhammad Umair Nizam formalised three collaborative letters targeting major GITEX platforms: FLEX Global 2026 to explore future of work and learning initiatives, GITEX Türkiye 2026 to enable Pakistani participation in Istanbul, and GITEX LATAM 2027 to expand representation in São Paulo. These moves reflect P@SHA GITEX efforts to create new market channels across continents.

The delegation also held productive discussions with HBL to explore fintech and digital banking collaborations, and engaged in pre-event networking hosted by Sherdil Cloud. Support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council, the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Tech Destination Pakistan and PSEB reinforced the broader national push to scale IT exports and generate youth employment.

P@SHA GITEX activities at Dubai World Trade Centre underscored Pakistan’s growing tech capabilities and a clear strategy to convert international interest into tangible partnerships, investments and export opportunities for startups and established firms alike.
