Highlights of Zia Shariat Course at Rawalpindi Mosque

A 10-day Zia Shariat Course, organized under the auspices of the Rahm-ul-Alameen Foundation, concluded at the Tehkhana Wali Mosque in Tench Bhatta, Rawalpindi. The program provided comprehensive training in the core principles of Islam and aimed to address contemporary challenges faced by the Muslim community.

The course was initiated by Professor Muhammad Haider Alvi and focused on essential Islamic tenets, including belief in the oneness of God, prophethood, finality of Prophethood, sainthood and leadership, the concept of the hereafter, translation and explanation of selected chapters from the Holy Quran, the study of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the challenges confronting Islam in the modern era. Additional topics covered included the role of spirituality (tasawwuf) in daily life and the significance of the traditional Sufi monastery (khanqah) system.

A distinguished team of religious scholars and professors led daily sessions. The list of speakers included Professor Habibullah, Mufti Abdul Rahman, Dr. Ata Mustafa, Dr. Javed Ahmed, Professor Mahmood-ul-Hasan, Maulana Zaheer Abbas, Qari Sajid Razaq, Professor Abdul Hameed Madani, Dr. Sanaullah, Professor Abdul Mannan, Allama Muhammad Naveed, Qari Muhammad Musab Abbasi, Qari Muhammad Asif, Hafiz Abdul Qadeer, Allama Ihsan Rabbani, among others. Each contributed expertise in the various subjects, and guided participants through a structured curriculum.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Hazrat Khawaja Pirzada Syed Aal Wajeeh Muini Ajmeri emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong connection to religious elders and seeking guidance from scholars, particularly in an era where social media has led to confusion among the public regarding matters of faith. He highlighted the growing uncertainty about beliefs within the Muslim community and urged individuals to consult and learn from trusted religious authorities when faced with religious queries.

He further advocated for the organization of more such gatherings, underlining that these provide valuable opportunities for people of all ages to deepen their understanding of Islam. The event concluded with special prayers for the global Muslim community and for Pakistan.

Allama Haider Alvi encouraged all believers and religious scholars to arrange similar short-term courses in their respective areas, with the aim of extending Islamic education and guidance to people across all age groups.
