Celebrating Pakistan Independence Day in Ankara with Unity

A vibrant ceremony was held at Pakistan House in Ankara to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, bringing together members of the Pakistani community, Turkish dignitaries, and friends of Pakistan. The event showcased national pride, cultural heritage, and the enduring fraternal ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Guests were welcomed with traditional Pakistani hospitality, enjoying cultural exhibitions, authentic Pakistani cuisine, and stirring performances of patriotic songs that underscored the spirit of unity and patriotism.

Among the distinguished guests was Mr. Burhan Kaya Türk, former Chairman of the Pakistan-Türkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group and member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In his address, he extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan and reflected on his personal ties with the country, having spent part of his student life there. Describing the historical and spiritual relationship between the two nations as “a divine blessing,” he reaffirmed Türkiye’s unwavering solidarity with Pakistan and expressed hope for a bright future anchored in mutual respect, trust, and cooperation.

Pakistan’s Ambassador, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, praised the role of the Pakistani community in projecting a positive image of Pakistan and fostering deeper people-to-people connections between the two countries. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founders, he reiterated the nation’s commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity. Highlighting recent achievements such as Operation Bunyān Mursūs and the struggle for truth, Dr. Junaid stated that these successes revitalize the spirit of the Pakistan Movement and further validate the Two-Nation Theory.

Addressing the issue of Kashmir, Dr. Junaid reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance and expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He pledged Pakistan’s continued political, moral, and diplomatic support for their right to self-determination.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s ongoing development, peace, and prosperity.
