ISLAMABAD: Halil Demir, Executive Director of Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA), met Archbishop Dr Joseph Arshad, Bishop of Islamabad–Rawalpindi and President of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference, to discuss interfaith harmony, humanitarian cooperation and joint efforts for vulnerable communities in Pakistan.
The meeting focused on shared values of compassion, mutual respect and service to humanity. It also underlined the importance of interfaith engagement in promoting understanding and strengthening social cohesion.
Both leaders stressed the need for cooperation among religious communities to respond to humanitarian challenges and improve the lives of people in need, irrespective of their faith or background.
The interaction reflected the significance of building bridges between communities through dialogue, shared values and a common commitment to human dignity and social welfare.
Different faiths, shared humanity and a collective commitment to lasting change remained the central message of the engagement.
