Dr. Shahzad Hussain, HoD of the Department of Business Administration, served as the resource person for a workshop on “Data Science for Finance using Stata” held on October 29, 2025 at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU).
The session was designed for MS and PhD scholars and delivered hands-on training and practical insights into applying data science techniques in finance research and analysis. Emphasis on Stata gave participants direct experience with tools used in empirical finance work.
Attendees engaged with real research-focused problems and received guidance on integrating data science methods into their studies and dissertations. The workshop reinforced methodological rigor and analytical confidence among postgraduate researchers.
By bringing focused training to MS and PhD scholars, the event highlighted the growing role of Data Science in higher education and finance research at Pakistani universities and supported the development of advanced research skills among emerging scholars.
