Anti-Doping Seminar Promotes Clean Bodybuilding in Pakistan

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), in partnership with the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation and anti-doping experts, conducted an Anti-Doping Awareness Seminar aimed at educating athletes and administrators on the dangers of banned substances and the importance of clean, fair practices in sports. The initiative comes as concerns grow over the misuse of performance-enhancing substances, particularly within the bodybuilding community.

The seminar brought together prominent officials and subject-matter experts. Among the key speakers were Mr. Shahid Islam, Deputy Director General PSB & Director Coordination (PADB); Mr. Sohail Anwar, Secretary General of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation; Mr. Nasrullah Rana, Director of National Federations (PSB); Mrs. Qurat-ul-Ain, Sports Psychologist (PSB) & Liaison Officer (PADB); Ms. Maham Ayman, PSB Junior Liaison Officer (PADB); and Dr. Nabeel Ahmed, a recognized nutrition expert.

Throughout the event, speakers highlighted the serious health risks and ethical implications associated with the use of prohibited substances. The experts underscored the need for greater awareness, continuous education, and strict adherence to the regulations set by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to safeguard the well-being and careers of athletes.

The seminar also included a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants from across Pakistan were recognized for their active participation and commitment to upholding the principles of clean sport. The event reaffirmed the PSB’s dedication to promoting integrity, fair play, and safe sporting environments in Pakistan.
