ICCI and Roots IVY Join Forces for Youth Skill Development

**ICCI and Roots IVY International Forge Partnership to Promote Youth Entrepreneurship and Education**

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Roots IVY International Colleges have announced a landmark partnership aimed at strengthening the connection between academia and industry. The collaboration seeks to foster educational excellence, enhance skills development, and cultivate entrepreneurship among youth—preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities presented by a rapidly evolving global economy.

ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, during a meeting with a Roots IVY delegation led by Rector Muhammad Ali Iqbal Raja and Ms. Kalsoum Nawaz, Head of Early Years – A Level at Roots International Schools, highlighted the urgent need to move beyond traditional education methods. Qureshi stressed the importance of adaptive, innovative, and inclusive learning strategies that empower students with 21st-century skills, creativity, and a sense of global citizenship.

Qureshi also briefed the Roots IVY delegation on ICCI’s ongoing efforts to reinforce industry-academia linkages. He noted that such connections are essential in encouraging students to adopt entrepreneurial mindsets and become job creators rather than job seekers, ultimately supporting broader economic development.

Both institutions explored a variety of potential areas for synergy, with particular focus on entrepreneurship initiatives, startup incubation, and programs dedicated to youth economic empowerment. They expressed strong commitment to working together on projects that drive innovation and open new avenues for students.

On behalf of Roots IVY, Muhammad Iqbal Raja and Ms. Kalsoum Nawaz reaffirmed their commitment to forward-thinking education. “At Roots International, we ensure that our students are not only academically competent but also trained to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and future leaders in a dynamic global environment,” they stated.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the agreement to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will formalize this partnership. As part of the arrangement, children of ICCI members will be eligible for fee concessions at Roots IVY International Colleges, expanding access to high-quality education within the business community.

The collaboration has been welcomed by ICCI Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Siddiqui and Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry, who expressed confidence that this strategic alliance will help align educational outcomes with the demands of the economic landscape and contribute to shared national development targets.

The meeting was also attended by ICCI Executive Members Raja Naveed Satti, Rohail Anwar Butt, Irfan Chaudhry, Mohsin Khalid Malik, and Advisor to the ICCI President Naeem Siddiqui, reflecting broad support within the organisation for this new initiative.
