DIG Bannu Conducts Surprise Inspection of Police Lines Hospital, Announces Major Upgrades

Deputy Inspector General of Police for Bannu Region, Sajjad Khan, paid an unannounced visit to the Bannu Police Lines to assess security measures, staff discipline, and healthcare services provided to police personnel. The visit underscores a renewed focus on the welfare and well-being of law enforcement officers in the region.

During the inspection, DIG Sajjad Khan examined the Medical Unit operating within the Police Lines, expressing satisfaction with the existing services. He urged the responsible officers to further enhance and modernize healthcare facilities to better serve the needs of police personnel.

Highlighting the critical link between staff welfare and optimal police performance, DIG Khan reiterated that the physical and mental health of officers forms the bedrock of an effective police force. He emphasized the need for sustained attention to the overall well-being of personnel in order to enable them to fulfill their duties efficiently.

In a significant development, DIG Khan announced plans to upgrade the Police Lines Hospital to the status of a Rural Health Center (RHC) in collaboration with the Health Department. He also revealed that a state-of-the-art laboratory and a blood bank would be established at the facility, aiming to greatly improve medical support for the force.

Additionally, a dedicated ward for injured police personnel and other police patients will be set up at DHQ Hospital Bannu, further strengthening healthcare infrastructure available to officers.

DIG Khan directed officers to maintain high standards of cleanliness, security, and residential amenities within the Police Lines. He also called for the introduction of additional welfare measures, ensuring that police staff operate in a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
