PITB and PSTB Offer Free ISTQB Certification for IT Talent

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Software Testing Board (PSTB) to offer internationally recognized IT certifications to Pakistani professionals free of charge, starting with the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification. This initiative aims to empower local IT talent by removing financial barriers to globally valued credentials.

As part of the agreement, candidates pursuing the ISTQB and other global IT certifications will have their examination fees fully reimbursed, effectively making the certifications completely free. The collaboration is designed to equip Pakistani IT professionals with vital skills and knowledge that align with international standards, enhancing their competitiveness in the global job market.

The partnership underscores PITB’s commitment to building a digitally skilled workforce in Punjab and across Pakistan. By facilitating access to world-class qualifications, both PITB and PSTB hope to accelerate the professional development of the country’s IT sector and contribute to the broader vision of ‘Digital Punjab.’

Officials from both PITB and PSTB have expressed optimism that this effort will significantly boost the employability and global mobility of Pakistani IT specialists, while also supporting broader national goals for digital advancement and economic growth.
