**Pakistan Taekwondo Federation President Elected to Asian Taekwondo Union Council**
Lt Col (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed, President of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, has been elected as a Council Member of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU), marking an important achievement for Pakistan in the international Taekwondo community. His appointment took place during the ATU General Assembly held in Kuching, Malaysia.
This development is seen as a milestone for the Pakistani Taekwondo community, highlighting the country’s increasing influence within international sports governance. Lt Col (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed is recognized for his longstanding service and efforts to advance the sport both within Pakistan and on the global stage.
In the same session, Mr. Sang Jin Kim of South Korea was elected as the new President of the Asian Taekwondo Union. His leadership is expected to steer the continent’s Taekwondo community into a new phase of growth and development.
The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation congratulated the newly elected leaders, expressing a commitment to strengthen cooperation with the ATU and to support the further advancement of Taekwondo throughout Asia.
