Shifa International Hospital Celebrates Independence Day with Patriotism

Shifa International Hospital marked Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a dignified ceremony attended by both staff and patients. The event featured Waqar ud Din Syed, Director General of the National Cyber Crime Agency, as the chief guest.
During his speech, Waqar ud Din Syed praised the hospital’s efforts to provide high-quality and modern medical care to patients. He highlighted the need for accurate information in the healthcare sector and emphasized the importance of cybersecurity and national safety in the digital age. The chief guest also warned that fake news and misinformation pose serious threats to the nation’s interests, urging everyone to verify facts before sharing any content online. He stressed that just as the country’s founders made sacrifices for Pakistan’s independence, it is now the nation’s responsibility to safeguard digital sovereignty and remain vigilant against those spreading discord.
Dr. Zeeshan bin Ishtiaq, Chief Executive Officer of Shifa International Hospital, addressed the gathering and stated that the hospital’s healthcare heroes are always ready to serve the nation, whether in times of peace, crisis, or emergencies. He added that this year’s Independence Day celebrations also honor the courage and unity displayed during key military operations, reinforcing the belief in Pakistan’s resilience.
