Islamabad Enhances Drug Quality Control with Advanced Analyzer

The District Health Office Islamabad has enhanced its efforts to ensure drug safety by acquiring a state-of-the-art Raman Handheld Analyzer for its Pharmacy Services and Drug Control Section. This new technology, obtained under the Public Sector Development Programme project “Strengthening of Drug Control Section,” will play a pivotal role in the rapid detection of counterfeit and substandard medicines.
The Raman Handheld Analyzer can identify fake or spurious medicines within seconds, significantly improving the office’s regulatory capacity. By detecting unsafe drugs more efficiently, the District Health Office aims to protect public health and ensure that only safe, effective, and quality-assured therapeutic goods reach the people of Islamabad.
This initiative underscores the District Health Office’s ongoing commitment to upholding the highest standards in medicine quality and safety across the region.
