Islamabad Excise Expands Online, Doorstep Services for Citizens

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department has introduced a range of modern and citizen-friendly facilities aimed at providing faster, transparent and easier access to public services.

According to the department, several services have been made available online so that citizens do not have to make unnecessary visits to offices and can submit applications from their homes.

Citizens can visit www.islamabadexcise.gov.pk and use the Online Services section to apply for Transfer of Ownership, generate a vehicle Physical Inspection ID, check transfer fee and challan details, and access other related facilities.

The department has also advised citizens to install the Pak App on their mobile phones to benefit from various online excise services. Through the app, citizens can pay Road/Token Tax for their vehicles online without visiting the office. Official fees related to Transfer of Ownership and New Registration can also be paid safely and conveniently through the Pak App.

For further public facilitation, the Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department has started a special mobile service during weekly holidays. The mobile team will be available at F-9 Park on Saturday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and at Kachnar Park on Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

At these locations, citizens can avail services related to vehicle registration, transfer of ownership, post-transfer and other excise-related matters on the spot.

The department’s Doorstep Service is also continuing. Citizens seeking registration, transfer of ownership and other services from home can book an appointment by contacting the helpline at 383-383-111-051. As per the appointment, the department’s team will visit the citizen’s residence at the scheduled time to provide the required services.

Director Excise Bilal Azam said the department was committed to ensuring dignified, transparent and timely services through modern technology, online facilities, mobile services and doorstep services. The initiative is aimed at saving citizens’ valuable time, reducing rush at offices and making access to government services easier and more effective.
