Arid University Launches 12 New Degree Programs for 2025

Rawalpindi: Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) has announced the introduction of 12 new undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs, strengthening its academic portfolio to better meet market needs and global trends. The expansion is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to produce graduates equipped with industry-relevant skills and knowledge.
Currently serving over 14,000 students across five faculties and seven institutes, PMAS-AAUR has established itself as a leader in higher education and applied research in Pakistan. In addition to its main campus in Rawalpindi, the university also operates sub-campuses in Attock and Khushab, along with a dedicated research farm on the Mandra-Chakwal Road.
The newly introduced programs comprise BS English Language & Literature, BS Data Analytics, BS Statistics (Data Science), BS Genetics, BS Fintech, Bachelor of Eastern Medicine System (BEMS), Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Information), BSc (Hons) Food Safety & Quality Management, BS Aesthetics & Cosmetology, BS Psychology (Clinical Psychology), BS Fine Arts, and a PhD in Anthropology.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized the university’s commitment to quality education, stating, “Quality education and research in a modern style is our top priority. We are committed to building an environment that promotes academic excellence and industry-relevant skills.”
To support this goal, PMAS-AAUR has upgraded its facilities with state-of-the-art laboratories, advanced computer systems, and a central library that features comprehensive digital and print resources. Furthermore, all educational spaces now comply with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards, ensuring that theoretical knowledge is effectively integrated with practical experience.
Admissions for the Fall 2025 session are now open for all undergraduate and postgraduate programs, offering students a wider range of academic opportunities aligned with contemporary professional and research demands.
