Pakistan Uzbekistan Trade Partnership Strengthens

Islamabad, November 2025 — A Memorandum of Understanding was signed online to strengthen Pakistan Uzbekistan trade when Mazhar Hussain Thathal, Chairman/CEO of Global Trade Expo Center Pakistan (GTEC), and Farrukh Fazliyev, Chairman/CEO of the National Economic Association of Uzbekistan, formalised a bilateral cooperation agreement.

The MoU is designed to promote mutual trade exchanges, business cooperation and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Both organisations committed to facilitating trade linkages, organising trade exhibitions and supporting joint ventures across textiles, agriculture, construction and industrial development to open new market channels for exporters.

During the virtual signing ceremony, Mr. Fazliyev extended an invitation to Mr. Thathal to visit Uzbekistan, underscoring a shared vision for long-term business ties and coordinated efforts to strengthen trade corridors that improve market access for Pakistani companies and Uzbek partners alike.

Mr. Thathal said the partnership ushers in a new phase of economic connectivity that will pave the way for expanded B2B cooperation, industrial collaboration and regional growth. The agreement emphasises practical measures to help exporters, importers and entrepreneurs identify investment prospects and build sustainable commercial links.

The MoU marks a concrete step toward developing stronger economic bridges between the two countries, encouraging businesses on both sides to explore untapped potential in bilateral trade and to pursue joint initiatives that support growth across key sectors.
