National Assembly Internship Empowers Sukkur IBA Students

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq commended a group of interns from Sukkur IBA University as they completed their placement at the National Assembly Secretariat, highlighting the importance of engaging youth in parliamentary work. The internship was part of the National Assembly’s Institutionalized Internship Program, a key initiative under the Assembly’s Strategic Plan, which provides hands-on experience to more than 600 students from across Pakistan each year.
The program is designed to involve young people in legislative processes and develop their skills through targeted training and practical assignments. During their internship, the Sukkur IBA students contributed to several departments, including Media, IT, Finance, and Human Resources. They presented a series of innovative IT solutions developed during their six-week placement, such as a Transcription System, Voice Recognition Module, IT Inventory System, Case Management System, Voucher Management System, and a redesigned website for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, among others.
Speaker Sadiq praised the interns for their creativity and hard work, encouraging them to further refine these technological solutions for potential integration within the National Assembly Secretariat. He urged the interns to continue their commitment to public service and national progress, and advised them to uphold ethical standards, professionalism, and a mindset of continuous learning. Sadiq emphasized that their experiences at the National Assembly should serve as a strong foundation for their future careers, inspiring them to pursue impactful and responsible roles in society.
