Advancing Tarlai Hospital Project in Islamabad

Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal chaired a detailed presentation on the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Hospital Tarlai project, reviewing construction timelines, modern facilities and the proposed service delivery model. The meeting included a Saudi consultant and senior ministry officials: the Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary (Hospitals), Director General (Development Projects), Director General Health and the Deputy Director (Development Projects).

The presentation provided a comprehensive briefing on the hospital’s architectural design, equipment requirements and phased operational plan. The Saudi consultant highlighted key design features, technical specifications for medical equipment and opportunities for partnerships to ensure quality delivery and timely completion of the Tarlai Hospital.

Participants discussed alignment of the project with national health priorities, staffing and procurement strategies, and next steps to transition from construction to service delivery. The federal minister emphasized sustained coordination between local teams and international partners to expedite progress while maintaining standards for the new hospital.
