Showcasing Germany Photography in Islamabad

Deputy Head of Mission Arno Kirchhof hosted a photography exhibition at the German Embassy in Islamabad featuring images of Berlin, Düsseldorf and Baden-Baden by Pakistani architect and photographer Hassan Kausar. The collection concentrated on inner-city scenes and architectural details that evoke everyday life in Germany.

Hassan Kausar’s photographs brought the true feeling of Germany’s inner cities to Islamabad, using light, perspective and composition to recreate the textures of streets, façades and public spaces. The exhibition demonstrated how Germany photography can translate urban character across cultural boundaries without losing its local nuance.

The presentation at the embassy offered Islamabad audiences a chance to experience German urban landscapes through the eye of a Pakistani artist, highlighting cultural exchange and the role of visual arts in strengthening ties between the two countries. The images invited reflection on architecture, public life and shared human moments across cities.

By showcasing this body of work, the event underscored the capacity of photography to bring distant cityscapes closer to local viewers and to inspire dialogue about urban identity and cultural connection.
