Sindh Police Defeat Mesol Solar by 30 Runs in Wing 999 Inter-Departmental Cricket League

Sindh Police team secured a commanding victory in the Wing 999 Inter Departmental Cricket League Tournament, defeating Mesol Solar by 30 runs at the CAA Cricket Stadium. The match featured impressive batting performances from Aaish Malik and Shahzad Khan, alongside effective bowling efforts by Farooq Hassan and Abdullah Danish, demonstrating a high level of competitiveness among the participating departments.
Sindh Police set a formidable target by posting 290 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 40 overs. Shahzad Khan led the batting charge with a brilliant 91 runs, including 11 boundaries and a six, supported significantly by Zohaib Abid’s 63 and Farooq Hassan’s brisk 45. Other contributions came from Noman Khan, Ejaz Sawati (not out), and Zakir Ali. The bowling effort to restrict Mesol Solar was spearheaded by Abdullah Danish, who claimed 4 wickets for 26 runs in his spell, while Afnan Ahmed took 2 wickets for 43 runs.
In response, Mesol Solar fought hard but fell short, posting 260 runs for eight wickets in 40 overs. Aaish Malik’s explosive century of 110 runs, featuring six fours and three sixes, kept the chase competitive. Abdullah Javed contributed a steady 51, while Jawe ur Rehman added 43. The bowling attack of Sindh Police, led by Farooq Hassan with figures of 4/43 and Abdullah Danish with 4/26, proved effective in sealing the victory despite valiant efforts from Mesol Solar batsmen.
