KSrelief Delivers 6000 Food Packages to Families in Azad Jammu and Kashmir

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has completed the distribution of 6,000 food packages to families affected by natural disasters in ten districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This large-scale initiative has provided vital assistance to more than 41,121 people across the region.

The food packages were distributed in the districts of Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley, Neelum, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur, Sudhnoti, Poonch, Haveli, and Bagh. Each family received a package containing 80 kilograms of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, and 5 kilograms of lentils, with the total weight of each package reaching 95 kilograms.

This relief effort was carried out in close coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority, the State Disaster Management Authority of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and the Hayat Foundation. The coordinated efforts were aimed at ensuring transparent and timely delivery to families most in need.

Sardar Waheed, Director General of the AJK Disaster Management Authority, expressed his appreciation to KSrelief and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their prompt and generous support. He also attended one of the key distribution ceremonies in Muzaffarabad, highlighting the strong partnership between Saudi relief organizations and the local government in delivering humanitarian assistance. This initiative underscores KSrelief’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities impacted by natural disasters in the region.
