Championing Early Childhood Education in Islamabad

Barrister Danyal Chaudhry presided over the Early Years Graduation Ceremony 2026 at Westminster International School in Islamabad, marking a significant milestone for the youngest learners in the capital. The event brought together families, teachers and school leaders to celebrate children taking their first formal steps in education.

Speaking as both Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting and Director of Westminster International School, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry underscored that early childhood education is a national priority. He noted that research indicates over 90 percent of a child’s brain development occurs in the first five years, making investment in these formative years essential for long-term national progress.

He stressed that Westminster’s approach goes beyond academics to nurture curiosity, confidence and character from the earliest stage. “The most powerful infrastructure a nation can build is an educated, confident, and compassionate human being. And it starts exactly here, at this age, in these classrooms,” he said, applauding teachers for their role in shaping future citizens.

Barrister Danyal paid tribute to parents as their children’s first and most enduring teachers and called on policymakers and educators to expand access to quality early learning across Pakistan. He reaffirmed his commitment to champion policies that strengthen early childhood education, reflecting his belief that a well-informed and well-educated citizenry is Pakistan’s greatest asset.
