Honouring Allama Iqbal Inspires Unity and Growth

President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh paid tribute to Allama Iqbal on his death anniversary, highlighting the poet’s pivotal role in awakening a sense of selfhood, awareness and unity among the people of the subcontinent.

Atif Ikram Sheikh recalled how Allama Iqbal inspired generations with the concepts of khudi and collective purpose, saying that the poet’s ideas continue to serve as a guiding light for the nation. He emphasized that Iqbal’s writings encouraged Muslims to seek a distinct identity and a hopeful future.

Addressing the younger generation, the FPCCI president urged youth to draw guidance from Allama Iqbal’s message of self-discovery and lifelong learning, noting that enthusiasm alone must be matched by knowledge and disciplined effort to translate ideas into progress.

Underlining the practical relevance of Iqbal’s thought, Atif Ikram Sheikh said that the philosopher-poet’s principles are central to Pakistan’s development, economic self-reliance and national cohesion. He called for policymakers, business leaders and citizens to embrace Iqbal’s vision to build a stronger, more independent economy.

The president observed that on this day the nation pays respect to Allama Iqbal’s intellectual and national contributions and urged collective action to implement his ideals so Pakistan can achieve greater economic strength and unity.
