Adopting Green Business Practices in Rawalpindi

The Department of Business Administration at Rawalpindi Women University hosted a seminar on sustainability and green business practices on October 28, 2025, with Ms Shizra Khan, Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at the Department of Management Sciences, NUML Islamabad, as the guest speaker.

Ms Shizra Khan outlined the importance of integrating Green Business approaches into everyday operations, stressing resource efficiency, environmentally responsible decision-making and the strategic role of supply chain management in reducing environmental impact. She encouraged students to view sustainability as a practical management priority rather than a peripheral concern.

The session was described as informative and engaging, with students showing keen interest in sustainability strategies and how Green Business principles can be applied across different sectors in Pakistan. Attendees reported a clearer understanding of sustainable practices and the responsibilities of future managers in promoting eco-conscious policies.
