Aram Khanum to Compete in World Powerlifting

Lady Inspector Aram Khanum has been selected to represent Pakistan at the International World Powerlifting Championship in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and is scheduled to depart on 23 November 2025 to take part in the competition.

Chief Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani recognized Aram Khanum’s sporting achievements by presenting her with a commendation certificate and a cash award in appreciation of her performance and dedication.

Aram Khanum’s recent track record includes a strong showing in multiple events: she secured one gold and two silver medals at the Inter-Region Archery Championship held in Rawalpindi on 4 October, and later added a gold medal in the powerlifting championship at PC Farooqabad on 23 October. These results contributed to her selection for the world event.

Rawalpindi Police is deploying its resources to provide officers with sporting opportunities and to showcase their talents, a commitment underscored by CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani. The department’s spokesperson confirmed support for Aram Khanum as she prepares for the international stage.
