Diya Women FC organized a lively intra-branch 6-a-side football tournament at Maidaan KMC on March 16 and 17 as part of Women’s Day and Women’s Month celebrations, bringing together around 40 players from five branch teams across Karachi.
The competition was tightly contested, with Team Nishtar Road securing first place, Metroville finishing as runner-up and Gulzare Hijri taking third place.
Trophies were presented by Dr. Sadia Sheikh, Founder and President of Diya Women FC, accompanied by Ms. Naila, the club Vice President, and coordinators Chinee Gul and Karimullah, who acknowledged the players’ performances and enthusiasm.
The two-day event under the Diya Women FC banner offered valuable match experience for local players and reinforced the club’s ongoing efforts to promote women’s football across Karachi during Women’s Month.
