HEC Team Reviews University of Lakki Marwat
At the invitation of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Aurangzeb Khan, a high level team from the Higher Education Commission visited the University of Lakki Marwat and reviewed its academic, research, and development activities.
The delegation was warmly received by the vice chancellor, registrar, and other senior administrative officials. The HEC team included Dr. Yasmin Sago of Foundation University, Assistant Director Amir Manzoor, Dr. Imran Marwat of the Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director QAA Irfanullah, Dean Professor Dr. Rehmatullah Qureshi of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Dr. Arif Nadeem of National Skills University, and Dr. Mehdi Hassan of Air University.
Also present on the occasion were University of Lakki Marwat Registrar Dr. Mehd Jahangir, Controller of Examinations Dr. Mir Ahmad Khan, Treasurer Muhammad Bilal Afridi, Director Academics Dr. Zahir Shah, Project Coordinator Engineer Muhammad Shuaib, and Town Campus Coordinator Fasihuddin.
During the visit, the delegation inspected the university’s teaching, research, and administrative sections in detail. The team visited the veterinary teaching hospital, modern laboratories, central library, classrooms, research centers, and other educational facilities to observe the available infrastructure, teaching environment, research activities, and student support services.
The delegation also reviewed the university’s under construction buildings and ongoing development projects, and gathered information about the quality of construction, progress, and future development needs.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Aurangzeb Khan gave the HEC team a detailed briefing on the university’s academic, research, and administrative performance, ongoing development projects, faculty capacity, student facilities, and future development vision. He said the University of Lakki Marwat is working continuously to promote quality higher education, effective research, innovative thinking, and a modern teaching system, while efforts are also under way to further strengthen the institution with guidance and support from HEC.
The HEC delegation expressed satisfaction over the university’s ongoing academic and research activities, available facilities, administrative arrangements, and development plans, and appreciated the efforts of the administration. The team also offered useful suggestions for further improving education quality, promoting research, strengthening industrial and institutional linkages, and reinforcing the basic infrastructure so the university can secure a more prominent place among leading national institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, the vice chancellor and the HEC delegation held detailed discussions on higher education promotion, research collaboration, institutional development, improvement in education quality, and different aspects of mutual cooperation.
