David Miller Criticizes ICC’s Travel Schedule After South Africa’s Champions Trophy Semi-Final Defeat

David Miller has expressed his frustration with the International Cricket Council (ICC) following his team’s semi-final loss to New Zealand in the Champions Trophy at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
Miller blamed the tight travel schedule and poor planning for impacting the Proteas’ performance during the match.
After completing their group-stage matches, both South Africa and Australia had to travel to Dubai.

However, following India’s victory over New Zealand, South Africa was required to return to Pakistan for their semi-final against New Zealand in Lahore, while Australia remained in Dubai to face India.
Miller, who scored a rapid century off 67 balls in the semi-final, criticized the travel arrangements, pointing out that although the flight was relatively short, the tight schedule left minimal time for recovery.
He believes this contributed to the team’s subpar performance on the day.
Despite Miller’s remarkable feat, which saw him set a new record for the fastest century in Champions Trophy history, breaking Virender Sehwag’s 23-year-old record, South Africa was defeated by 50 runs. New Zealand will now face India in the final on March 9 at Dubai International Stadium.
