**Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region Issues Performance Report for July**

The Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region has released its performance report for July, highlighting extensive law enforcement activity, arrests, traffic regulation efforts, community engagement, and road safety initiatives across the region.

According to the report, the Punjab Highway Patrol registered 72 criminal cases during the month. The police seized one pistol, one rifle along with 13 bullets, recovered two stolen vehicles, four motorcycles, and five liters of liquor. A total of 34 proclaimed offenders and 33 court absconders were apprehended as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime.

In terms of road safety and traffic management, the force conducted 28,454 e-challans for traffic violations and initiated legal action against 42 drivers for installing substandard gas cylinders in their vehicles. As part of its enforcement and safety checks, the patrol inspected 272,494 individuals and 66,588 vehicles. These checks aimed to enhance safety and prevent illegal activities on highways.

The patrol also extended assistance to 231 distressed travelers, which included providing first responder support and medical aid to eight individuals. Seven missing children were safely located and reunited with their families, demonstrating the department’s commitment to public welfare beyond routine policing.

On the regulatory front, 639 driving licenses were issued to citizens. The force impounded motorcycles from 231 underage riders and 1,567 riders found without proper documents or helmets, reinforcing its focus on enforcing traffic laws and promoting safety.

Community engagement remained a priority, with several community policing meetings and road safety workshops organized at various patrol posts. These initiatives received positive feedback from the public, reflecting the region’s efforts to build trust and foster cooperation between citizens and law enforcement.

The Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring road safety, and continuing public outreach initiatives in the future.
