Sahaba as the Standard of Faith and Unity in Islam

Muslim Students Organization Launches Campaign Emphasizing Companions of the Prophet as Pillars of Faith
Umair Ahmad Makki, leader of the Muslim Students Organization (MSO) for Northern Punjab, has highlighted the importance of the Prophet Muhammad’s companions, describing them as true representatives of Islam and guiding lights for the community. In a recent statement, Makki praised the companions for their unparalleled sacrifices—giving their lives, wealth, and honor for the sake of Allah and the Prophet—as well as their significant role in the spread and preservation of Islam.
Makki stressed that love and respect for the companions are essential elements of true faith. He asserted that every member of the MSO is committed to upholding the dignity and honor of the companions, and will continue to defend their legacy on all platforms.
He also announced that, under the guidance of MSO Pakistan’s central leader, Brother Arsalan Kayani, the organization will be conducting a nationwide campaign titled “Companions Are the Standard of Faith.” The campaign aims to highlight the significance of the Prophet’s companions and to promote unity and solidarity within the Muslim community.
In his closing remarks, Makki urged young people to understand the true essence of Islam, follow the example of the righteous predecessors, and actively work towards unity in the Muslim community while avoiding sectarianism.
The statement was released by Sufyan Abbasi, MSO Rawalpindi’s Information and Broadcast Secretary.
