Pakistan Embraces Baku Creative Week 2025
Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, praised Azerbaijan’s leadership as Baku opened the OIC Cultural Festival under the banner of Baku Creative Week. He described the event as a strong platform for cultural, creative and intellectual exchange across the Islamic world.
Speaking at the inauguration, Khichi said Baku has become a major meeting point for the Muslim world and that the festival gives fresh momentum to cooperation among Islamic nations. He emphasised Pakistan’s appreciation for Azerbaijan’s efforts in promoting cultural diplomacy and highlighted the role of Baku Creative Week in bringing artists, thinkers and cultural institutions together.
Khichi reiterated that Pakistan stands ready to actively participate in initiatives that reinforce Islamic solidarity and shared cultural values. He called Baku Creative Week more than a festival, describing it as an opportunity for creative exchange, cultural rapprochement and strategic cooperation among member states.
The minister pointed to the shared history, cultural roots and religious unity that bind Islamic countries and said Pakistan remains committed to supporting collaboration at every level to deepen that unity. He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan’s cultural initiatives will strengthen the cultural identity of the Islamic world and expand ties among member states.
