The Pashto literary organization “Naway Jwand” held its significant meeting in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Naseem Mandokhail, with special attendees including senior journalist and author Barkwal Miankhel from Voice of America (VOA), and Nasir Khan Mandokhail. Senior journalist Barkwal Miankhel represents “Naway Jwand” in the United States.
The session was moderated by Khan Zaib Mehsud, and attended by prominent members including Senior Vice Chairman Raj Marwat, Vice Chairman Bedar Bakht Advocate, Joint Secretary Noor Naib Khattak, Deputy Joint Secretary Tanzeel Yousafzai, Cultural Secretary Azeem Khan Watanyar, Press Secretary Rukhshanda Tasneem, and Office Secretary Hayat Khan Khattak.
Conducted in a cordial and positive environment, all participants provided valuable suggestions and actively contributed their views on various issues during the meeting. Crucial decisions regarding the upcoming fourth Aman (Peace) Award ceremony of the organization were finalized.
One important decision made was to remove the organization’s Secretary of Finance from their position due to their continuous absence from meetings caused by other commitments. However, it was emphasized that the member would remain a part of the organization.
Participants also agreed to organize the fourth Aman Award ceremony in the first week following Muharram ul-Haram. Members were urged to actively seek sponsors for the event by 20 July, with the next meeting scheduled for the same day to review progress.
Chairman Naseem Mandokhail committed to sharing the promotional details and sponsorship plan with all cabinet members within two days.
Earlier in the meeting, special prayers were offered for the departed souls, including the sister of Shireen Yar Yousafzai and Iqbal Hussain Afkaar.
