Image Garments turns surplus into sustainable fashion

Image Garments (Pvt.) Ltd., a Pakistani manufacturer and partner of Danish workwear company Mascot Workwear, has transformed surplus factory fabric into a thriving sustainability-driven fashion brand called elo. The initiative has grown from producing durable workwear for export to Denmark into a successful e-commerce business that now purchases leftover material from other factories to meet rising demand. Denmark’s Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Peter Emil Nielsen, recently visited Image Garments’ Faisalabad factory to observe the partnership’s evolution and its impact on sustainable manufacturing.

Image Garments supplies high-quality workwear to Mascot Workwear, producing garments designed to meet international standards and withstand demanding weather conditions. The collaboration highlights a longstanding commercial link between Danish buyers and Pakistani textile manufacturing expertise.

Seeking to reduce waste and increase resource efficiency, Image Garments launched elo, a brand that repurposes surplus fabric into eco-friendly apparel. By turning leftover raw materials into finished products, the company has built a circular approach that reduces landfill-bound textile waste while creating new revenue streams.

elo’s products proved popular with consumers, leading to a successful e-commerce operation. Growing demand has prompted Image Garments to expand its sourcing, now buying surplus material not only from its own production lines but also from other factories. This scaling reflects both market appetite for sustainable fashion and the viability of circular sourcing models in the textile sector.

The factory visit by Peter Emil Nielsen underscored the Danish-Pakistani commercial and sustainability partnership. The meeting offered firsthand insight into how international collaboration can support environmentally conscious manufacturing practices and promote value-added production in Pakistan’s textile industry.
