Rawalpindi Patrolling Police Release June 2025 Performance Update

The Rawalpindi Region Patrolling Police have released a comprehensive performance report detailing significant law enforcement actions and public safety accomplishments for the month. Under the supervision of SSP Muhammad Bin Ashraf, authorities registered over 185 FIRs, made numerous arrests, enhanced road safety, and increased public engagement through community policing initiatives.

According to the official monthly report, the Patrolling Police registered a total of 185 First Information Reports (FIRs) relating to various offenses. Key successes included the recovery of illegal weaponry—specifically three pistols, one rifle, and 32 ammunition rounds. The police also recovered two stolen vehicles along with four motorcycles, reflecting their swift response against property crimes. Moreover, the police conducted targeted operations against criminals and successfully apprehended 33 proclaimed offenders and 37 court absconders.

Significantly enhancing road safety across the region, the department issued an impressive 25,556 electronic challans (e-challans) for violations of traffic rules. In an effort aimed at ensuring vehicle safety and preventing hazardous accidents, authorities registered 77 cases against individuals using substandard gas cylinders in their vehicles.

Utilizing modern technology and proactive policing measures, the force conducted extensive electronic checks, verifying the backgrounds of around 288,247 individuals and inspecting a total of 75,841 vehicles to further tighten local security. The police also extended timely humanitarian support to approximately 300 distressed travelers, among whom 13 received immediate medical aid.

The Rawalpindi Patrolling Police further demonstrated their commitment to societal well-being by successfully locating and returning seven missing children to their respective families. Recognizing the importance of road safety education, the department facilitated professional driving courses for 52 citizens through official police-affiliated driving schools. Additionally, the authorities issued 655 new driving licenses, promoting responsible driving across the community.

In strong action against irresponsible driving practices, police impounded 230 motorcycles found in the possession of underage riders, as well as an additional 3,016 motorcycles driven either without proper documentation or without safety helmets.

Strengthening public-police relations, the Patrolling Police actively engaged local communities through multiple interactive sessions and road safety workshops organized at various checkpoints. These community outreach initiatives received highly positive feedback from residents, fostering trust and cooperation between the police force and the public.
